SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 -- The Provincial Government has proclaimed that the inaugural Saskatchewan Music Education Day will be held on September 15, 2022!

The Saskatchewan Music Educators Association (SMEA) worked with the government to create a day to honour music educators in the province and promote the benefits of music. The goal is to promote the importance of music education so it remains a crucial part of the school curriculum and future employment prospects for university students.

September 13, 2022 -- At the Organizational Meeting of the Regina Board of Education held this evening, Tara Molson was declared elected by acclamation to the office of Chairperson, effective immediately, and Sarah Cummings Truszkowski was declared elected by acclamation to the position of Vice-Chairperson, effective immediately.

In addition, the Board adopted the following motion:

That, during the period October 2022 to September 2023, regular meetings of the Board be held on the following school days:

Dear School Families:

Today, we welcomed students back to class with heavy hearts. All of Saskatchewan is mourning the loss of the lives this past weekend. Our heartfelt thoughts go to the individuals, families and communities touched by this unthinkable violence. All Regina Public Schools flags will be flown at half-mast for 10 days to honour the lives lost.
