School Resource Officer Program
- The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program is a partnership between the Regina Police Service, Regina Public Schools and Regina Catholic Schools.
- School Resource Officers are trained members of the Regina Police Service.
- The SRO program is designed to build and maintain relationships among police, students, parents and the school community.
- Each elementary and high school has an assigned police officer who supports school staff, students and families in creating a safe school and community environment.
- School staff members collaborate with SROs to support student learning about topics such as safety, life skills, anti-bullying and the justice system.
- SROs are invited to engage with school communities in activities such as team sports, intramurals, one-on-one reading, arts activities and other school initiatives and events.
