All classes to Operate on Thursday, February 8.

February 7, 2024 - Shortly after 5:00 p.m. today, we learned that The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation announced that they will resume negotiations with the Government Trustee Bargaining Committee.  This means that the scheduled provincewide withdrawal of noon-hour supervision planned for tomorrow, Thursday, February 8th has been cancelled. 

All schools will operate on their normal schedule, including noon-hour supervision.  Transportation services will also operate as usual.

Adjusted School Day Due to STF Job Action

February 5, 2024 - The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation announced they will withdraw noon-hour supervision on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Without having an adequate number of supervisors, schools cannot safely have students in the building over the lunch hour.

As a result, the school day is being shortened and students will be dismissed at 12 Noon in elementary schools and 1 p.m. in high schools.

International Language Day in Saskatchewan

FEBRUARY 2, 2024—The Ministry of Education has officially declared February 3, 2024 as International Language Day in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Association of International Languages (SAIL) invites everyone to celebrate all languages in the world on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Education Auditorium, College of Education, University of Regina. This free event will feature cultural performances, singing and lots more. Partner organizations include Multilingual Association of Regina (MLAR), Government of Saskatchewan, SaskCulture and Sask Lotteries.
