International Transgender Day of Visibility

MARCH 30, 2026—International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world on March 31st. The day is dedicated to acknowledging the discrimination and violence experienced by people who are transgender. It also celebrates the accomplishments of transgender and gender nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve transgender justice.

National Indigenous Languages Day

MARCH 30, 2026—March 31st is National Indigenous Languages Day, an opportunity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to celebrate and honour Indigenous languages in Canada. There are more than 70 Indigenous languages across 12 language families in the country. This day is an important reminder of the critical role that Indigenous languages play in preserving the history, culture and identity of Indigenous communities.

Regina Public Schools is proud to offer Cree at Albert, Coronation Park, Kitchener, Rosemont, Seven Stones and Thomson Schools, as well as at Balfour and Scott Collegiates. Michif is offered at tawâw school.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week

MARCH 19, 2026—Neurodiversity Celebration Week will take place from March 16th to 22nd with the theme “From Awareness to Action: Making Organizational Change Happen.” It happens worldwide and challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurodevelopmental disorders and learning disabilities. It is a chance to celebrate the unique ways in which all of us learn, work and play as well as an opportunity to reflect on how this individuality makes us stronger together.
