APRIL 2, 2026—On April 2, 2026, our global community will come together to observe World Autism Day. The United Nations General Assembly declared April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day in 2007 “to highlight the need to improve the quality of life of those with autism so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.”
APRIL 2, 2026—Please note that the Regina Public School Division Office will have altered hours during the spring break.
Schools will be closed from Friday, April 3rd to Friday, April 10th, reopening on Monday, April 13th.

MARCH 31, 2026 — Public Schools of Saskatchewan will be recognizing public school student groups or classes who support citizenship or character building within their schools or community by providing annual Student Citizenship Awards. Student groups or classes at elementary and high school will be recognized for their contributions. There will be three $1,000 awards for Grades 1 to 8 and three $1,000 awards for Grades 9 to 12.

MARCH 30, 2026—International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world on March 31st. The day is dedicated to acknowledging the discrimination and violence experienced by people who are transgender. It also celebrates the accomplishments of transgender and gender nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve transgender justice.
