African-Canadian Black History Month

FEBRUARY 1, 2021 -- Black History Month, now called African-Canadian Black History Month to be more inclusive, is held during February every year. This month provides an opportunity to share and learn about the experiences, contributions and achievements of peoples of African ancestry and their communities. This year's theme is "The Future is Now."

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

JANUARY 27, 2021 -- The United Nations General Assembly has designated January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps and the end of the Holocaust that resulted in the murder of six million Jews and five million others during the Second World War. We remember and stand against hate and discrimination.
