National Indigenous Peoples Day

JUNE 20, 2023—Every June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. It was chosen as the same day as the summer solstice (the longest day of the year) for its important symbolism to many Indigenous peoples. This is a special day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada.

Special Meeting of the Board

June 19, 2023 - There will be a Special Meeting of the Regina Board of Education on June 27, 2023 at 5 to 6 pm.

Due to the June 1, 2023 Provincial announcement of additional funding for the 2023-24 school year, budget development was delayed. The Regina Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting on June 27, 2023. This meeting will have one agenda – the passage of the 2023-24 budget.

Summer Driver Education 2023 UPDATE!

JUNE 15, 2023 — Reminder that the application deadline is Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Session will run Monday, July 3rd to Friday, July 14th via Zoom and Google Classroom.

Class time: 8:30 to 11:40 a.m.

Perfect attendance is mandatory.

Students will be notified via their @rbe.sk.ca email account if they have been accepted into the course.

Students must be 15 years of age to register before classes begin. To register, please review and complete the program information and application form, as well as the MySGI account information found below.

Winston Knoll Moose Hide Campaign Day

JUNE 13, 2023 — Winston Knoll Collegiate students participated in a school-wide walk during period 5 on May 11th to bring awareness to the Moose Hide Campaign.

During the lead-up to Moose Hide Campaign Day, students in TAG did activities to gain a deeper understanding of Moose Hide Campaign Day, land acknowledgments and the importance of reconciliation. Winston Knoll joined together to take a stand against violence towards women and children and to take practical steps for our collective journey of reconciliation.
