Online registration for 2025 Summer Driver Education will open on May 15, 2025.

June 3, 2025 - Thomson School's mamawi kakashihtânânaw land based education program was recognized by the Saskatchewan chapter of the Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development. 

The mamawi kakashihtânânaw program at Thomson school was identified as "an innovative project that has helped to increase the capacity for sustainable development in the Saskatchewan Region and contributed to the advancement of the United Nations Decade of Action to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Congratulations to Thomson school staff for this honour. 

Jeff Cappo, Indigenous Education Coordinator for Regina Public Schools, who has worked with the Thomson team accepted the award. 

JUNE 1, 2025—June is Indigenous History Month, a time to celebrate the history, heritage and diversity of Indigenous communities. It is a time to recognize and learn about the sacrifices, cultures, contributions and strength of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and to continue the work of the Truth and Reconciliation’s Calls to Action.

As part of National Indigenous History Month, the City of Regina and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Network will host activities for National Indigenous Peoples Day on Friday, June 20th in Victoria Park from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The day will be filled with Indigenous performers, family-friendly activities, children’s crafts and Indigenous artistry.

JUNE 1, 2025—Throughout Saskatchewan, June is known as Gender and Sexual Diversity Pride Month! It is a time to celebrate acceptance, human rights and diversity. These celebrations are important because they recognize the achievements and ongoing struggles of the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community, advocate for equality and foster a sense of community.

In Regina Public Schools, it is important that we demonstrate our Shared Values, including our values of belonging and respect. As a school division, we continue our commitment to ensuring that 2SLGBTQIAP+ staff, students, families and allies feel included, protected and respected.

MAY 30, 2025 — Regina Public Schools publishes a monthly newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of students and staff; reports on significant events, programs and community involvement; and highlights the activities that demonstrate our Shared Values of respect, belonging, knowledge and responsibility.
