DECEMBER 19, 2023 — Regina Public Schools publishes a monthly newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of students and staff; reports on significant events, programs and community involvement; and highlights the activities that demonstrate our Shared Values of respect, belonging, knowledge and responsibility.

DECEMBER 1, 2023 — AIDS Awareness Month (December), World AIDS Day (December 1st) and Indigenous AIDS Awareness Week (December 1st to 7th) continue to provide opportunities to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and its impacts; to remember, honour and celebrate those who have died of HIV/AIDS; and to support education and prevention activities that seek to counter stigma and discrimination that target people who are living with, affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS.
According to a CBC Saskatchewan report last year, "Saskatchewan's HIV numbers remain the highest in Canada with transmission rates at more than double the national average."

NOVEMBER 13, 2023 — Statistics Canada reports that according to the 2021 census, approximately 6,300 people identified as Métis in Saskatchewan. Métis Week (November 12-18, 2023) and Louis Riel Day (November 16th) are recognized annually to commemorate the sacrifice made by Louis Riel to defend the rights of Métis people and to honour Métis heritage, history and contributions.
