January 6, 2022 – Regina Public Schools has learned of a case or cases of COVID at the following schools.

School Families Letter

January 3, 2022 -- Happy New Year! Classes will resume as planned on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  The Saskatchewan Health Authority has confirmed that schools can return to in-class learning following the break, with continued safety measures in place. In preparation, we encourage all school families to complete an at-home rapid test prior to the return to school. Most families will have had access to these tests through schools.

Proof of Vaccination or Test Status Required

December 10, 2021 (UPDATED) -- Regina Public Schools continues its commitment to promote the health and safety of students and employees and to provide and maintain a safe work and learning environment for all. The Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority have recommended vaccinations for those who are eligible as one way to minimize COVID-19 risk to citizens.

As of November 29, 2021, proof of vaccination, or recent negative COVID-19 test, will be required for all who enter a Regina Public Schools building. This requirement does not apply to students.

Parents as Career Coaches

NOVEMBER 23, 2021 -- The Regina District Industry Education Council (RDIEC) is hosting a virtual "Parents as Career Coaches" event that will be available starting on Tuesday, November 30th on their YouTube channel. Information on funding students' education will be provided.

There will also be two $500 bursaries awarded to two lucky Grade 12 students! In order to qualify, parents or students will need to complete a survey on the RDIEC website.

All Student Transportation Cancelled.

November 17, 2021--Due to severe weather conditions, all Regina Public Schools buses and light transportation is cancelled on Wednesday, November, 17.

All schools will remain open. Please contact your school if a student will be absent, we want to ensure all students are safe.

Regina Public Schools Transportation will also directly contact parents.

It is expected that all transportation will resume on Thursday.

World Mental Health Day

OCTOBER 8, 2021 -- World Mental Health Day is observed internationally on October 10th. The overall objectives are to raise awareness of mental health around the world and mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

Regina Public Schools' Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy stresses the importance of raising mental health awareness, reducing stigma, promoting well-being, and creating and sustaining a healthy and supportive workplace culture.

How to Manage Stress in the Workplace

October 5, 2021 -- Canada Life is offering a live, interactive, 45-minute event on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss how to manage stress in the workplace. This event is taking place before World Mental Health Day, which is on Sunday, October 10, 2021. This online event may be of particular interest to Regina Public Schools parents/caregivers and school families.

Proof of Vaccination or Test Status To Be Required

September 29, 2021 -- Regina Public Schools will soon be implementing a Vaccination Administrative Procedure that will require identification of vaccination or recent negative COVID-19 testing status.  

Regina Public Schools will require all employees, contractors, volunteers, parents and other visitors to our schools and facilities to demonstrate proof of full vaccination or recent proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Details of the requirement and when it will be implemented will soon be shared. This requirement will also apply to child care providers, contracted transportation staff, community user groups and other partners who use our facilities.
