Dear School Families:
Today, we welcomed students back to class with heavy hearts. All of Saskatchewan is mourning the loss of the lives this past weekend. Our heartfelt thoughts go to the individuals, families and communities touched by this unthinkable violence. All Regina Public Schools flags will be flown at half-mast for 10 days to honour the lives lost.
September 1, 2022 -- On the first day of the 2022-23 school year, Darren Boldt, Director of Education, shared a school opening letter for students, school families and employees. You can read the whole letter by following this link.
AUGUST 31, 2022 -- On behalf of the Board of Education, Board Chair Tara Molson announced that, due to unforeseen circumstances and effective immediately, Greg Miller will no longer serve as Director of Education/CEO.
The Board is pleased to announce that Darren Boldt has been appointed Director of Education/CEO for the 2022-23 school year.

AUGUST 17, 2022 -- On October 25, 2022, cast your ballot to elect a Regina Public School Board Trustee to represent Subdivision No. 2. Eligible voters can cast a ballot in one of five poll locations or by mail-in ballot.
AUGUST 9, 2022 -- The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day is on Friday, September 30, 2022. It is a day to acknowledge Canada's colonial history and the legacy of residential schools.
Regina Public schools will be closed on September 30th to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

June 17-2022 -- On behalf of the Regina Board of Education and Regina Public Schools Administration, congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 Shared Values Recognition Program Award. Ten Regina Public Schools employees/partners have been chosen because they have exemplified the Shared Values: I am responsible; I want to know; I belong; and, I respect.
They were nominated by someone in their school and/or work community and chosen by the Selection Committee comprised of the Board of Trustees. To honour all the recipients, a reception and brief ceremony will be held in the Fall of 2022.
Thank you to the recipients for being a leader among your peers by demonstrating the values that form the fundamental beliefs that guide Regina Public Schools.
