MAY 13, 2026—Congratulations to Wyatt M., a Grade 2 student at École Connaught School in Regina, for receiving the 2026 Spark Literacy Award! Presented by Innovation Federal Credit Union, this award celebrates Wyatt’s determination, growth, and hard work in Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan’s Spark reading program.
Spark currently serves over 260 children in five school divisions, including Regina Public Schools. The program supports students in Grades 2 to 4 with one-on-one volunteer reading sessions that build confidence, phonics, comprehension, and a love of reading. In 2025, 96% of teachers reported improved reading skills and strategies in Spark participants.
Thank you to the volunteers, donors, and community partners for helping children across Saskatchewan build brighter futures through literacy.
