MAY 3, 2021 -- The two Grades 7/8 classes at Wilfred Hunt School recently participated in a Métis floral beadwork painting assignment.
All of Hunt’s classes are currently creating wonderful Indigenous-themed/inspired artwork that will be displayed throughout the school to demonstrate their gained knowledge of and appreciation for the culture of Indigenous peoples.
May 3, 2021 -- The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has set May 3-9, 2021 for Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is “Name it; don’t numb it.” The idea is to understand emotions by naming, expressing and dealing with how we truly feel, as it is this process that will help in supporting our mental health.

Colleen Morris’ Grade 5 class at Judge Bryant School took a wonderful trip to Romania right in the middle of remote learning, as they participated in the Embracing Differences program. The sessions, which were sponsored by the Regina Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) and governments of Regina, Saskatchewan and Canada, were held via Zoom this year.
The Grade 5 classroom took part in a session called “Romanian Martisor,” which was hosted by Monica Cliveti, who is from Romania. The students learned about Romanian geography, history and culture.
