
August 26, 2025 – The beginning of construction of the Harbour Landing West joint-use school was celebrated at a news conference today on the building site in southwest Regina. Representatives of the Provincial Government, including Premier Scott Moe, Education Minister Everett Hindley and SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister, David Marit joined Regina Mayor, Chad Bachynski to announce the milestone. Regina Board of Education Chairperson, Adam Hicks and Regina Catholic Board Chair, Ryan Bast both also spoke on behalf of the school divisions.
The joint-use school facility is set to accommodate up to 500 Regina Public and up to 350 Regina Catholic students and will also provide an additional 90 new childcare spaces with a target opening in fall 2027.
“The unprecedented growth in the Harbour Landing community mirrors the growth and increasing enrolment pressures we have seen in other neighbourhoods across Regina,” said Adam Hicks, Chairperson, Regina Board of Education. “The construction of this new school is great news for our city and the students and families of southwest Regina who will benefit from much-needed new classrooms and learning spaces."
