April 5, 2024 -- There will be a partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th, from 11:51 a.m. to 1:56 p.m., maxing out at 12:53 p.m.
It is not safe to look directly at the sun, without protective eyewear, during a partial solar eclipse, or at any time. For those interested in viewing the total eclipse online, you can view it live here: https://www.timeanddate.com/live/eclipse-solar-2024-april-8.
Below you will find a number of links with some safety reminders and some suggestions for viewing the partial, or any solar eclipse safely.
March 26, 2024 -- Public Schools of Saskatchewan has extended the deadline for the Student Citizenship Awards. Up for grabs are three $1,000 awards for Grades 1-8 and three $1,000 awards for Grades 9-12.
The new deadline is May 15, 2024. Read more details and find the application on their website here.

MARCH 21, 2024 — Regina Public Schools publishes a monthly newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of students and staff; reports on significant events, programs and community involvement; and highlights the activities that demonstrate our Shared Values of respect, belonging, knowledge and responsibility.

MARCH 19, 2024—As a result of a Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation job action, all classes are cancelled on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Families, please note that on that day:
- There will be no school for students.
- All student transportation will be cancelled.
- All before & after programs operating in our schools will be closed.
- All extracurricular events and field trips will be cancelled.
- All Regina High School Athletics Association (RHSAA) events will be cancelled.
- You do not need to report student absences.
