September 24, 2024—Trustees, administration, family and friends gathered to celebrate and congratulate the 2023-24 Shared Values Recognition Program (SVRP) recipients. The ceremony on September 23rd marked the 16th annual event and was held at the Conexus Arts Centre.
Emceeing was Board of Education Chairperson Sarah Cummings Truszkowski. She spoke about the achievements of all the recipients, as well as the history of the Shared Values Recognition Program. Assisting her on stage was Trustee Lacey Weekes, who handed out the award plaques to the recipients.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 — The Saskatchewan Ministry of Education has proclaimed September 30, 2024, as Orange Shirt Day, and the Government of Canada has proclaimed it as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Even though schools and Division Office will be closed on Monday, September 30th, students and staff will still participate in truth and reconciliation activities throughout this week. It is also a timely starting point in the school year for sharing Indigenous ways of knowing, learning from Elders and knowledge keepers, and engaging in land-based education.
Sept. 19, 2024 -- November 13th is election day in Regina for Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees.
Remember to register to vote, especially if you will be turning 18 before election day.
Regina Fire & Protective Services Career Information Sessions
SEPTEMBER 13, 2024 — Regina Fire & Protective Services (RFPS) will be hosting career information sessions for girls/women 14 years and older on October 2nd and 5th at the Regina training facility (1205 Ross Avenue).
These FREE sessions will provide an in-depth look at both the benefits of a career in the fire service and the requirements to achieve the position of firefighter. These sessions are designed for participants to interact with women working within the industry who can provide firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be a firefighter with RFPS.

September 10, 2024--Get ready for two new elementary schools and a new high school!
On August 6, 2024, Minister of Education Jeremy Cockrill and SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister Terry Jenson gathered with Mayor Sandra Masters and representatives of Regina Public and Regina Catholic schools to announce the location and preliminary work begun on a new Harbour Landing West joint-use school. The 4.45-hectare school site is at the corner of Gordon Road and Campbell Street in southwest Regina.
