Wizard of Oz - At Sheldon-Williams Collegiate

DECEMBER 16, 2019 -- Sheldon-Williams Collegiate is proud to present a high school production of the timeless classic, The Wizard of Oz

This year marks not only the 80th anniversary of the enduring musical comedy but also the inception of a cutting-edge academic program at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate (SWC).

More than 75 SWC Spartans from Grades 9 through 12 participate in a two-hour class devoted to the production of a musical. Led by teacher-directors Krista McDivitt, Sarah Keefe, Brit Peters and Brianna Levesque, students are challenged to explore the myriad diverse elements of production.

Transportation and Cancellations

Thanks to parents, students, and staff we are always learning!

Regina Public Schools has had to, on several occasions, cancel all student transportation because of dangerous, icy conditions on residential streets. We would like to thank all parents, students, school families and, of course, school staff for working through that inconvenience and interruption to daily routines.

We’ve heard from a number of parents, students, staff and partners about what we have done right and what we could do better. We appreciate and welcome all your comments, observations and suggestions!

Community Values Award

NOVEMBER 22, 2019 -- Last year, the Creating Successful Outcomes Recognition Program was launched and a number of volunteers, past and present were honoured at a board meeting of the Regina Board of Education. This year, the Board has renamed the volunteer recognition program to better reflect its purpose and to align with Regina Public Schools Shared Values. The program has been renamed The Community Values Award.

The Community Values Award continues to be intended to provide recognition to school division volunteers who have, over the years, dedicated time, energy and personal resources to help create successful outcomes for Regina Public Schools students.
