December 1, 2025 -- Regina Public Schools (RPS) is committed to identifying, removing, and preventing accessibility barriers for individuals who work at or access School Division facilities, programs, and services. As part of this commitment, the Government of Saskatchewan introduced The Accessible Saskatchewan Act, which came into force on December 3, 2023. The Act requires RPS to publicly post an accessibility plan to remove and prevent accessibility barriers for persons with disabilities.

NOVEMBER 26, 2025—Regina Public Schools publishes a monthly newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of students and staff; reports on significant events, programs and community involvement; and highlights the activities that demonstrate our Shared Values of respect, belonging, knowledge and responsibility.

November 19, 2025—Regina Public Schools, Regina Catholic Schools and Regina Minor Football officially launched the Regina Football Academy today at Leibel Field.

Regina Football Academy (RFA) is a new learning and skill-building initiative for Regina-area Grades 9, 10 and 11 students that promotes perfection of football proficiency and successful completion of academic and elective learning requirements.

The RFA program, set to begin in Semester 2 of the 2026–2027 school year, will give students the opportunity to earn high school credits while playing their favourite game—practising and perfecting football skills under the guidance of experienced coaches and educators.

Severe weather is a way of life in Saskatchewan. In Regina, in the late fall and winter, it gets cold and road conditions can be treacherous. There are severe weather conditions that include snow, ice, blizzards and windchill that we have come to expect.

Going to school is also a way of life for our students and staff, regardless of the weather. Very rarely are Regina Public schools closed during a regular school day. Even in a blizzard! School buses and transportation similarly will run in most temperatures and conditions.

Kiskinwahmatowin (learning together) is a full school-year program, through a partnership with K+S Potash Corp Canada, for Grades 6/7 students who want to spend their year learning the curriculum through land-based experiences. The students develop their leadership skills, find their passion, spend time connecting to the land and experience a hands-on approach to education.

NOVEMBER 6, 2025 — Remembrance Day is commemorated on November 11th each year in Canada and marks the ceasefire on the Western Front in World War I in 1918. The armistice (peace agreement) between the Allies and Germany at Compiègne, France took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

On Remembrance Day, Canadians pause to honour those who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.

Monday, November 10th is a PD day for all Regina Public schools. All schools and Division Office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th for Remembrance Day so students will not return to classes until Wednesday, November 12th.

NOVEMBER 6, 2025 — Indigenous Veterans Day is recognized annually on November 8^th. Originally established in Manitoba in 1994, it is now a national day to recognize and acknowledge the many contributions and sacrifices made to Canada by First Nations, Métis and Inuit people in military service. November 8^th is a time to better understand and respect the role Indigenous veterans have played in Canada during the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Korean War, and in post-war peacekeeping efforts to the present day.

OCTOBER 27, 2025—Regina Public Schools is offering up to five individual bursaries of $2,000 each to Indigenous University of Regina Education students in their third or fourth year!
