SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 — The Saskatchewan Ministry of Education has proclaimed September 30, 2023 as Orange Shirt Day, and the Government of Canada has proclaimed it as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Even though schools and Division Office will be closed on Monday, October 2nd, students and staff will still participate in truth and reconciliation activities throughout this week. It is also a timely starting point in the school year for sharing Indigenous ways of knowing, learning from Elders and knowledge keepers, and engaging in land-based education.

September 13, 2023 -- An Organizational Meeting of the Regina Board of Education was held September 12, 2023. Mrs. Sarah Cummings Truszkowski was declared elected to the office of Chairperson, effective immediately, and Ms. Lacey Weekes was declared elected by acclamation to the position of Vice-Chairperson, effective immediately.

In addition, the Board adopted the following motion:

That, during the period October 2023 to September 2024, regular meetings of the Board be held on the following days:
